Echo 8000 Series
 The
EchoStor 8000 Series of external Fibre Channel RAID arrays is a
high performance, high availability solution ideal for business
critical applications such as database, e-mail, and e-commerce.
The 8000 series accommodates up to 4.8TB in a single, rugged 3U
enclosure. For high capacity or future scalability requirements,
multiple units can be cascaded to support up to 72TB in a single
direct attached or SAN-ready subsystem. The 8000 series also includes
a 2U option, supporting up to 3.6TB, for high performance, high
density applications.
With multiple 2Gb Fibre Channel host interfaces, the EchoStor 8000
series can easily connect to a Fibre Channel SAN, or simply as a
Direct Attached Storage system in a single or clustered server environment.
Available with single or redundant controllers with up to 2GB of
cache, the EchoStor 8000 series is a fully redundant, expandable
storage solution for high performance, high capacity, and high availability
requirements.
All EchoStor 8000 series arrays include hot swap disk drives,
dual redundant hot swap power supplies and cooling modules, battery
backup units, and dual power inlets.
The EchoStor 8000 series is O/S independent and can be centrally
managed via in-band or Ethernet, or through a firmware embedded
utility via RS-232C or the system’s LCD keypad. Automatic
event and problem notifications are sent by audible alarms and “call
home” feature via E-mail, SMS, MSN, ICQ, and SNMP traps.
